Wheeler Machinery's Contractor College is a series of business seminars taught by industry experts on various topics. Each topic has been selected based on overall business impact and on feedback from you and your peers. Our goal is to help improve overall business practices, and each seminar is designed to help address your unique business challenges.

Attend one session or attend them all.  When you register, you can choose which seminars best fit your needs.

Pricing: Each seminar costs $50.  This fee will be reimbursed to you upon attending your session through a $50 voucher good towards any 2011 purchase at Wheeler Machinery.

CE Credits: 
Each course is worth two continuing education credits* of the six required by the State of Utah each licensing period. 
*Each courses has been approved by the State of Utah in accordance with their CE credit requirements.

Session Schedule
Sessions will be held on Thursdays during January and February, starting at 5pm - 7pm.  Dinner will be provided.

Jan 6 – Productivity and Operating Costs
Summary: Learn strategies for improving productivity and reducing the costs of operating your business. 2 Professional Credits.

Jan 13 – Performance Management
Summary: Learn the four main aspects of managing the performance of your employees: setting goals and expectations; providing coaching and feedback; conducting performance appraisals; and rewarding and recognizing performance. 2 Professional credits.

Jan 20 – Effective Marketing Strategies
Summary: Learn tips for marketing effectively to reach the consumer. 2 Professional credits.

Jan 27 – Environmental Regulations - Tier 4
Summary: Learn how the new environmental regulations impact past, current and future equipment usage. 2 Core credits.

Feb 3 – Fleet Management
Summary: Learn ways to improve fleet management. Learn how to determine when to sell, retire or repair equipment. 2 Professional credits.

Feb 10 – Machine Maintenance & Failure Prevention

Summary: Learn common causes and effects of machine misuse. Learn maintenance procedures for the most common equipment in order to reduce breakdowns.  2 Professional credits.

Feb 17 – GPS / Equipment Technology
Summary: Learn the benefits of and get hands-on experience with current GPS and equipment technology. 2 Professional credits.

Feb 24 – Trench Safety
Summary: Learn how to comply with OSHA regulations for trench safety. 2 Core credits
